Characters I've played: significantly

Fermonde D'Aquitaine, duellist fighter, joined a plot at too late a stage to be any fun, died in a setup
Eo, elven greatsword fighter, was happy and glittery then sole survivor of his race before dying along with the whole world.
Akil, priest of science, following an epic quest, died in a rubbish way but got to do some cool haunting
Emanuel Icardi, Toreador clanhead and Harpy of Glasgow, amazed I stayed playing so long as the game was rubbish
Flip, started out as simple mercenary musketeer, now, more complicated, not-so-mercenary front line fighter etc
Fendarin, attempt to play a healer character, entertaining diversion but joined at the wrong time and never clicked, suffered kinda same way as Fermonde
Sir Didier Trantrist, knightly knight of knightishness, looking forward to having him complicated gradually
Years spent role-playing: 5 this autumn

Favourite three characters:
Flip, though I hate him in almost equal degrees for being so damn successful in everything I wish I was actually successful in he has ended up being the most interesting and developed character by virtue of longevity and interactions.
Akil, so much potential that ended up being snuffed out by overstatted or overly well set up encounter, would probably have been better than Flip if he'd carried on going, but then Flip probably wouldn't have been half as interesting if I'd still been concentrating on Akil.
Trantrist, only played a couple of times but already interests me more than any of the others apart from the above, the Nest is a rompy system and playing a sword-and-shield tank will rarely be dull.

Least favourite character:
Icardi, the vampire game sucked so much, I'm amazed I carried on going for as long as I did, probably boredom and habit more than anything much enjoyment related.

Male or female characters: Male, some less so than others like glittery elf Eo and camp toreador Icardi.

Oldest character:
In age terms, Fendarin and Icardi, elves and vampires have distinct advantage over human character in this category.
In terms of how long played, Flip probably now, two and half years now

Newest character:
Sir Trantrist

Most popular character:
Akil was probably the best known, though it's easier to be well known in smaller systems, more other PCs probably know Flip but a lower proportion of the playerbase.

Character you've (made and) never played:
Decimus, creepy scissorhands construct in the Nest system
as yet unnamed scouse accented Merisusi avian, crafter of Ferries

Which character of yours would be most likely to...

Jump off a bridge: Icardi, with his acrobatics score et al he'd be able to land like a gymnast anyway

Get drunk and pass out: Flip has gotten very drunk at Officer's Messes, never to the point of passing out though, usually the vomiting interrupts that

Kill somebody in a very unorthodox way: Most of them, Akil carved up an elven waywalker in a particularly showy way, Icardi daydreamed about decapitating all of his useless clanmates in one celerity fuelled round and still having a spare action to pose at the end, Flip seems to have people he wants dead just happen without needing to do anything much actively

Get married: Trantrist maybe eventually? Flip, though not necessarily on his say-so.

Be far too hyper for their own good: Fendarin was quite often at the beginning, drinking smirnoff ices constantly made Icardi kinda the same way, Flip on drugs or during a fight or on drugs during a fight too.

Rape somebody: Flip did in his background, Icardi did in his background

Be raped: Akil.

Get lost and refuse to ask for directions: All the characters I play and have played have been far too pragmatic not to just ask.

Get lung cancer: Flip, from second hand smoke

Star in a horror movie: Flip if it was psychological and mundane, Icardi if it was supernatural horror.

Star in a video game: Trantrist probably, not exactly sure as to reasoning.

Make the world a better place: Akil had a twisted moral way of doing it but was always his intention, Flip is kind of following the same lines a bit.

Have a torrid gay love affair: Icardi did, Flip did (albeit one night stand), Akil would have

Relate each word to a character of yours:

Love: Trantrist
Hate: Flip
Money: Flip
Seduction: Icardi
Lies: Flip
Tragedy: Akil
Manipulation: Flip
Violence: All pretty much.
Politics: Flip
Fire: Eo
Ice: Akil

Would you ever...

Play a prostitute: Not as a long running PC I don't think
Play a musician: No talent for it, Fendarin loved to make music/noise though
Play a pilot: Unlikely, I'd prefer to be a gunner
Play a homosexual: Doubtful, larp with too many pretty girls and less pretty guys.
Play a paedophile: By modern standards yes, medieval morality says it's ok or expected.
Play a politician: Not exclusively, would need to have some dirty hands work.
Create a character for the sole purpose of smut: Not as a long running PC, for a throwaway NPC tavern patron yes.

Under the cut

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?
If it helped the cause I would kill anyone, even pruning from within. I would rather not consider dying as the shadow has hung over me long enough and now it's more important having something to live for than consider the worst.

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?
It depends who asks, there are some who know or at least suspect they could ask anything. I suppose give up is about the only thing I cannot see myself doing at any point.

3. What do they dream about? [Either literal or figurative].
I see Havocstan spread before me in the same way I'm sure Rheinfelden saw some time ago. I see the near limitless potential of those who have gathered together, what we might acheive, what might be built, what might endure.

4. What’s their biggest fear?
Now, dying. I wouldn't want to return with nothing to return for, especially as I've already been so patient.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?
Each piece of equipment has a story behind it, it would be hard to leave any behind. The knife that I brought from my first brotherhood, the armour that reminds me of the faith Garf had in me, the sword that reminds me that I didn't hesitate.

6. What is their fondest memory?
The first evening, then night, then morning, then afternoon with Sas.

7. What is their worst memory?
It doesn't matter anymore it's been put to rest and I've moved on.

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.
If the war hadn't happened I wouldn't have met any of the people I now know and who have influenced me greatly. In terms of people, Olrich stands out and others in relation to him.

9. What do they believe makes a successful life?
Leaving something behind you which you can be proud of.

10. What makes them laugh?
Plenty of things now, proof more than anything else that I'm in a good place in my life.

11. What are their religious views?
Loyalty to those who will be loyal to you, I expect my throat ripped out if I should cease to be of use, just as I would do for any other member of the brotherhood.

12. What is their greatest strength?
Being adaptive in the moment, but being prepared too. It takes a lot of planning to be in a position where you can react to almost any situation.

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?
I've been reckless before, having something to die for but not so much to live for makes for playing dangerously a lot.

14. Who is the most important person in their life?
I don't need anyone in my life, the people I want in my life know who they are.

15. If they died or went missing, who would miss them most?
Olrich, he'd have twice the paperwork and a hundred times the stress on him. Sas probably would too, though I'm sure she thinks I'd be disappointed if she did.

16. How would they describe themselves?
I'm in a good place, happy with my position, happy with the goal we're working towards, happy with the person I share my nights with. I'm strong, fit, young, smart and dedicated, nothing but good in my present, only the problems in my past.

17. How would others describe them?
To those outside the brotherhood I'm sure I'm considered a nobody. I do the odd flash thing with a sword but I'm not up and out there like Olrich or Rheinfelden, nor that obvious or recognisable. Those within are mostly aware of the important work I do and respect me for it because it's not the sort of thing most people would have the patience for.

Meme.

Ask me anything, anything, about the character that I play and I will answer honestly (unless of course doing so would reveal the secrets of another character, spoil a secret about my character, the information is not something that my character would reveal or if the information could not be found out IC somehow, in which case I'll simply refuse to answer but won't lie). You can ask OC questions or IC questions (for purpuses of FOIP consider any IC questions answered to be IC knowledge your character has gained) and can ask as many questions as you want to.

The characters anyone is likely to know would be Flip, Fendarin and Akil, unless people want to start on some of the notable nest npcs I played too.

Another meme, piked from Helly since I'm feeling like exploring Flip's head a bit more.
FOIP FOIP FOIP if you hadn't guessed already.

1. Describe yourself in whatever way you feel appropriate (e.g. name, physical attributes, demographics, career, relationships, etc)
I'm Mr Flip and I can be anything I want you to believe me to be.

2. Where is home?
Havocstan, so far in two scant years, to think the expanse it may cover when I am even only thirty years old fills me with terror and wonder.

3. Who is family?
Happy, violent, single minded.

4. What is your childhood trauma?
I was a child compared to how I am now when the war started and she was taken from me. Since then I've hacked and beaten my way through life running away from the memory, but finally have something to run towards rather than simply away from.

5. Do you learn from your mistakes? If yes, what has been the most important lesson you have learnt?
Sometimes yes, sometimes not. Most mistakes can be turned around into something positive with the right amount of confidence and improvisation or covered if enough bodies hit the floor.

6. List the things (people, places, etc) you love most.
Violence, attractive prey that has some fight in her, schnapps, whatever I need to pretend to like to have someone believe they can trust me.

7. List the things (people, places, etc) you hate most.
Negotiations breaking out, people failing to respond to paperwork, potato derivatives, whatever I need to pretend to hate to have someone believe I am like them.

8. Do you have blood on your hands?
As I chew my nails chronically I imagine there's generally some of my own on them most times, and often someone elses when it comes to it.

9. Who have been the most influential people in your life and why?
Rheinfelden for explaining his idea in such terms as to give me something to run towards rather than away from. Olrich for showing me a lot about what it takes and Garf for giving me the boot I needed to want to prove something.

10. What do you hope to achieve?
Having seen what can be achieved withint two years I can scarcely fathom what the indeterminate length of time I have will yield, anything I guess will likely prove to be a disappointment.

11. What are you afraid of?
An undead badger quaked for having struck me mistakenly, I've been introduced to one of the terrors of the new world as kindred spirit, a fellow monster, so I fear nothing beyond that I can be nothing other than the monster.

12. What was the best thing to happen to you?
Getting the bawling and kicking I needed to make me have something to prove.

13. What gets you through the bad times?
Killing and getting away with it, angry violent sex.

14. What make the good times?
Same answer.

15. What is the best thing you’ve ever done?
Having the presence of mind to bring along the rest of the Dogs to see that negotiations over Mr Phrixx went so smoothly.

16. Who would miss you if you were gone?
The people who would have to do their own paperwork, some of the brothers and sisters of the violent little family, maybe I'd get a trebuchet named after me too.

17. What in your life is worth dying for?
If I would otherwise grow old and weaken.

18. What in your life is worth living for?
The dreams I have in the day.

19. Do you have a best friend/confidante? Who are they?
Lots of people know things about me, whether they know me or what I want them to know and believe is for me to know only.

20. What do you believe in?
I believe the dream of a big dumb orange mokosh because he's surrounded himself with people smart enough to make it work.

Who are you?

Florian Ipesch was my name, the situation currently warrants my being Flip and I'm not so sure I'll ever be in a position to be Florian again.

2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?

My violent extended family. Some I consider brother and sister, at least one I consider father.

3. How old are you?

24 years I think but exact records were destroyed when it was necessary so I cannot be sure, nor do I remember what date it happened on.

4. What's your height?

The medical form says five-nine, I'd like to think I can have as much or as little presence as I choose though.

5. Are you a virgin?

Not since that summer and fall on the farm with Hannah. Since then, plenty of times but never the same.

6. Who's your mate/spouse?

Don't have one, want someone who someone else thinks belongs to him.

7. Do you have any kids?

I might have done at one point though never born, but I don't know whether the memory is a construction of my subconcious. I hope to in the future.

8. What's your favourite food?

Ritter Apfel Schnapps, Zoya's cherry wine. Meat in whatever form if you insist on neither of them being food.

9. Have you killed anyone?

Yes, the exact quantity depends on whether you're asking by my hand or by my actions and I will continue to do so.

10. Have any secrets?

I'm not sure if I'm trying to break them apart out of malice, out of desire, out of thinking it is the right thing to do or exactly why. All I know is that through some means I will do it even if it ruins us all. Honesty failed, reason I think has failed so I am left with what I know best but had hoped not to resort to.

11. Do you love anyone?

It's not love, it might never be but it angers me to imagine never having the chance to find out.

12. What is your job?

I facilitate actions through whatever means necessary.

13. Boy or girl?

I am male, I prefer female company, either prey or a fighter preferably both, if you mean the question that way and I would rather a male child than female.

14. What do you do to relax?

Get more frustrated seemingly. Violence helps but a successful hunt would be more satisfying.

15. There's a person who's teasing you; what could you do?

If it's a superior officer there is little I can do until I get promoted above them. If it's someone outside of the unit then they die, if it's someone below me in the unit then I make their life hell in every way my twisted imagination can conjure.

16. Let’s say you have a person who you really care about but she/he doesn’t know about your feelings. How do you tell her/him?

I try to be patient and fail, I hesitate and some potato head carries her off leaving me feeling a lot like killing them but more likely transferring the rage elsewhere. I then retreat within the safety of this violent shell and take it out on others. I'm doing it less brazenly this time, so far.

17. What do you regret most in life?

Hesitation as I said before. Twice now. This time I might not regret it for long, might not have to.

18. Do you like your maker?

It depends who you mean by that. If Lord Basilisk then yes, he has carved me to be the instrument I am today, close to his chosen and working towards his goal, he is said to understand choices I may make along the way. I would not be that man though without the potato head who carried her away and he I hate with every sleeping breath and leave behind with every waking breath.

19. Do you dream?

When I dream in the day I see wonders and understand what I work towards. When I sleep it gets worse and more detailed each passing night and I don't know where the memory ends and the imagination begins. The day drives me on while the night chases me.

And now the questions are answered *STAB* *STAB* *STAB* *STOMP* *STOMP* *STOMP* I'm afraid I can't let you tell anyone.
